Senior Interactive Developer
All of the projects listed below, unless otherwise specified, were developed at and designed by The Form Group. For each, I developed all aspects of the project including client side (XHTML/CSS/JavaScript) and server side (PHP/MySQL) interactions, content management, and mobile versions (when applicable).
In one of the biggest websites that I have developed to date, and one of my personal favorites, the Cleveland International Film Festival rebuild was a massive overhaul that was launched in 2013. The site features an extensive shopping cart experience, membership purchases, festival ticketing, and a highly interactive festival schedule. With over 70 MySQL tables, this site is powered by a custom built content management system that handles order processing, ticket printing, membership records, reporting, and much more.
The rebuild for CIA was the first project to use the custom page builder function that I developed for the FORM CMS. Users can add, edit, move, and delete custom pages with an "in place" style interface. Selectable templates allow users to see a page with identical aesthetics to the front end of the site. They can edit text, upload/crop images, and link external data such as blog listings, sponsors, and staff contacts. The CMS also includes Google Analytics integration and a time machine-like backup system that allows for page/record restoration.

The University Circle website is a highly functional information hub for "Ohio's most spectacular square mile." Site features include robust search tools for finding places of interest and upcoming events, an interactive map of locations, and a photos & videos section (populated using Flickr and YouTube APIs). The unique Visit Wizard tool allows users to select an interest, dining style, and age group to receive a custom daily itinerary (with print-friendly version).
gen eff. is one of the most unique websites that I have ever built. Founded by the parents of Jeffrey Newbauer, a 22 year old that passed away of cancer as a result of a misdiagnosis, the website is used to raise awareness of teenage cancer. Nearly every part of the page is clickable to unveil some sort of tip or factual information to help educate teens. The site features real time tweets related to cancer, polling, blogs, and an interactive timeline outlining the life of Jeffrey.
This was a project that I took on for a friend's company. After rebuilding the entire site from the ground up in 2009, I have maintained and continued to expand the functionality of this very large e-commerce-driven website. Functions include dealer discounts with optional billing terms (NET15, COD, etc), payments via Paypal or Authorize.net processing, UPS tracking imports, custom shipping rules, and promotional discounts. I was responsible for all aspects of this project including planning, design, and development.
